Happy Friday! Here are a few things that I’ve been thinking about this week. Click the image for the original source.
1. My high school friend, Kenny, and his wife Laura have taken a professional hiatus – for a year and a half!
Kenny’s a software engineer and Laura is a vet. They love their careers but had always wanted to see the world, so they saved up and planned a year and a half of travel. So far they’ve been on the road for 402 days, visiting 18 countries (check out this cool video of their path around the world).
I swiped a few pictures from their facebook page but be sure to follow their blog to see all their amazing, National Geographic-worthy, pictures.
New Zealand
Bali
South Georgia Island (and no, it is nowhere near Atlanta)
Tilicho Lake
Bolivia
Komodo National Park
Kala Patthar
Geisha Laura in Chengdu
2. This women is about to go in for a double masectomy. Her video gave me a whole new perspective on how to face trials. Simply amazing.
3. The creative team from my church produced this great message which provides “A new perspective for moms”
